Wedding Bouquets
Wedding bouquets have evolved significantly over the years with options available to today’s bride that are sure to suit her concept of the ideal wedding. The bride usually orders two bouquets, but they don’t necessarily have to match. She’ll usually keep one and throw the other. The bridesmaids carry smaller nosegay-type bouquets and whereas the bridesmaids’ bouquets will all match, the bride usually carries a bouquet that is much more elaborate. When deciding on a wedding bouquet, brides should consider three things: the color of her dress, the style of the dress, and the season that the wedding will take place. Bright white roses will make and ivory or cream dress look dingy. And the simple minimalist wedding gowns that are so popular today might seem a bit too minimalist with a plain bouquet. As far as seasons go, springtime offers the widest array of availability for flowers, but many flowers, like roses, are available year round. Autumn, summer and winter can also be woven into the wedding tone with seasonal blooms and other natural plants, like pinecones or ivy.
